After some METAMORPHOSIS it's time to FOCUS

So.....did that title catch you? Well I'm here to tell you about some great kits that I had the pleasure to work with the last couple of weeks.

First, just released today by the Studio Girls at Scrapbookgraphics is the awesome collaboration Creative Fusion - About A Mother. I created the layout below using the mini kits created by Rosey Posey: Metamorphosis - Blooms, Metamorphosis - Accents, Metamorphosis - Papers. Aren't these kits just beautiful? I also used kits from Miss Vivi and Maya. Go check out the whole collection...it's truly amazing!

Also for all you photographer buffs (and anyone who loves to scrap!) you really need to check out this fantastic kit that is a collaboration between Page Frocks, Sweet Tomato Designs and Heather Hess. It's available here at Scrap Matters. I love the colors in this fantastic kit. It worked so perfectly for the photos of my daughters and my grandson. You really should check this one out. You won't be disappointed!

The Celebration Continues....

Hey everyone! Boy can you believe February is over already? Time just flies too quickly the older I get! But even though February is almost at an end doesn't mean the birthday fun is over. All Aboard the MLAS Birthday Blog Train!

Birthday Party, Retirement, This N That

Wow...have I ever been the slacker....life has been so crazy the last 6 mos...wedding, grandbaby, 75th birthday, the holidays....I'm exhausted! But I'm so glad to finally be getting back to hopefully a normal routine and back into getting more scrapping done! Anyway....I wanted to stop in and tell you about a few things.

First of all....Congrats to Creations by Rachael...she is now selling her wonderful designs at Scrapbook Bytes! How exciting is that! And just in time for their 7th birthday bash! It's a Birthday Bash you won't want to miss!

Okay...first of all I want to send my apologies to the designers and stores I CT, and to those of you who take the time to take a peak at by blog now and again. I have neglected my poor blog for too long! But lots has happened in the last few months. Our son got married, my mom turned 75 and I became a grandma for the first time. So forgive me and I promise not to let it go so long again!

Team MLAS is in the house.......

Okay, so I told you that I was a part of team MLAS and we are participating in The Battle of the Creative Teams at Digiscrap Addicts. Well.....here is my week 1 submission. Our challenge was to create a page with white space and all five team members had to create LOs with the same color scheme. We went with Black and White, using a Black and White photo. We all did selective coloring on our photo and added a splash of green to make the LO pop. So...here's my week 1 LO.

So I just had to stop in quick and give you an update on a couple of things. First, I've had the privilege of being asked to be on the Creative Team Battle Team for My Life and Scrap. www.digiscrapaddicts.com is hosting a Battle of the CT's! There are two catagories, designer teams and store CT teams. It's going on for the next 4 weeks. Each week we will be given a challenge and then each member of our team has to complete a LO for the challenge and post by Sunday evening. Then everyone has the chance to vote on their favorite LOs. I would so love and appreciate if you would be willing to come out and support me and my fellow MLAS team members, Mara, Grace, Jenniffer Marie, and Anne. We've been given our first challenge and you'll be able to vote all day Monday and Tuesday for this weeks challenge! Hope you'll come out and support us!

Okay for the other news....I had the pleasure this week to create a couple of layouts with the beautiful kit, Sweetest Thing. It was created by Janice's Scrap. She's a new designer in the New Designer Program at Stone Accents Studio. Here are two LO's I created with this amazing kit!

I have some exciting news. Well, at least I think it's exciting. If you've noticed, I have a few more blinkies hanging out on the side of my blog. Remember that Garden Sampler challenge I was telling you about earlier? Well here's my LO I created with the mini kit from the Drama King collab. This mini kit was created by designer ShareYourMoments. She created a fantastic mini kit. Everything you see on my LO is included. So come enter the challenge and get it for free! Well, that's what I've been up to for the first 10 days of July...but I've got lots more to do so I better get a crackin! And I've got some projects to get done before our son's wedding in September and before our daughter-in-law delivers our first grandchild in October. It's a boy!! Can't wait to see our little Aiden once he arrives into this world. So lots of excitement coming up for us this fall, can't wait to share with you all.
